Provider Access

Effective 7/26/2007, The Illinois Health Connect Provider Access will allow providers to:

  1. Complete a Primary Care Provider Agreement and Application to enroll as an Illinois Health Connect PCP or register as a specialist with IHC Resource Database.
  2. Be able to send request to IHC to start getting IHC Panel Roster in the mail each month or request that IHC no longer mail IHC Panel Roster, if already PCP enrolled.
  3. View a "panel roster" or list of patients assigned to each clinic or physician.
  4. View location of service information.
  5. Check the status of a referral.

To get access to the Illinois Health Connect Provider Portal, you must register on the secure HFS MEDI system at www.myhfs.illinois.gov. The Provider Portal will give you access to the following:

  1. Access client claims history.
  2. View IHC Panel Roster.
  3. View IHC Location of Service Information.
  4. View IHC Provider Profiles.
  5. View IHC Bonus Payment for High Performance.

MEDI Access and Registration instructions are available with step-by-step screenshots.

To login, you will need your HFS provider number and your provider type. For most physicians not affiliated with a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or Rural Health Center, the HFS number is the same as your IL license number. If you are affiliated with an FQHC or RHC, please check with your clinic administrator to determine your HFS number.

If you require assistance, please contact our Illinois Health Connect Provider Services Helpdesk at 1-877-912-1999 (TTY: 1-866-565-8577), Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00a.m. to 7:00p.m. The call is free.

Proceed to the Illinois Health Connect Provider Access.
